I love learning and love teaching. Reading, language arts, history and math are my favorite subjects. After a career in corporate America, where I often ended up in the training department, I decided to become a teacher. I started a master's program in education administration and supervision while teaching full-time.
I am a strong believer that learning should be student-driven, fun, and engaging. Even more important is that we both learn from the teaching and learning process. Learning is participatory and collaborative!!
I love working with students one-on-one in order to give them the specialized attention that they need to improve and hopefully encourage a love for learning. Because each student is an individual, I utilize Gardner's Multiple Intelligences to identify YOUR best learning styles! We will incorporate hands-on learning as well as project-based instruction, where applicable.
We will work on building a solid foundation to learning that you will be able to utilize throughout your academic career. Together, we will set learning objectives so that you can reach higher levels of proficiency in all of your subjects.
