Hi! My name is Sarah, and I’m a BA/MD student at Rutgers University, where I study Biology. I’ve worked as a tutor and researcher, and I love helping students truly understand science instead of just memorizing it.
At Rutgers, a Top 15 public university, I’ve earned A’s in some of the most rigorous science courses, including Honors Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Anatomy, General Chemistry, and Genetics. I know what it’s like to be one of hundreds of students in a large lecture, and I teach students how to stand out academically, connect with professors, and earn strong recommendation letters.
As a student in the competitive BA/MD program, I have been recognized with merit-based financial aid awards and national scholarships that honor academic excellence, leadership, and service. I use that experience to help students with college applications, personal statements, and pre-med advising, especially those applying to selective programs or scholarships.
I scored a 1530 on the SAT (800 Math) and earned top AP scores, including 5s in AP Calculus BC and AP English Language and 4s in AP Biology, AP Microeconomics, and AP Statistics. My tutoring focuses on biology, chemistry, and related subjects, and I help students strengthen their study skills, confidence, and long-term academic success.
My sessions are interactive, flexible, and supportive. I break down complex topics, use real examples, and guide students until they can explain the material clearly and confidently. I especially enjoy mentoring pre-med and high school students as they plan for college and medical school.
If you’re ready to go beyond memorizing and start really understanding your classes, I’d love to work with you!
