Hello there! My name is Fayiz, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as your potential tutor. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biosciences with a minor in Neuroscience from Rice University, where I honed my passion for teaching, and I am now a second-year medical student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. I have extensive tutoring experience through the Peer Academic Advising (PAA) program at Rice University, where I assisted fellow students with challenging coursework. Additionally, I've had the privilege of tutoring underserved primary school students in a classroom setting through TMC BrainSTEM, which further developed my teaching skills and adaptability.

I specialize in tutoring in the fields of Biology, SAT/ACT and general test prep, college applications, and related subjects. I am an experienced math student, having completed up to Differential Equations (Calculus 4) in my coursework at Rice University. Specifically, I received a score of 35 on the ACT Math section. I believe that my strong mathematical coursework background and experience with test-taking strategies helped me immensely in performing well on the Math section of the ACT.

I have been exposed to a great deal of science coursework, varying from Biology and Biochemistry to Organic Chemistry and Physics through my education at Rice University as well as in High School. I was able to attain a score of 36 on the ACT Science Section. As a result, my deep-seated experience in Science and Scientific Research, as well as in data interpretation has allowed me to gain a strong understanding of the ACT Science section.

I am an incoming medical student with a strong background in biology and biochemistry. I have been able to take several high-level undergraduate courses in biology, such as Cell Biology, Genetics, and Microbiology. Paired with the knowledge I have learned through preparation for exams such as the MCAT (Medical College Admission Test), I have attained strong expertise in the field of Biology. I have also been able to conduct biological lab research, specifically working with fibroblast cells in the field of wound healing.
