I’m Oluwaseun. I hold an MBA and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (materials focus). Beyond the degrees, I’ve spent more than ten years teaching Chemistry to students of different levels — from upper high school learners to first-year college students. I’ve taught in multiple settings: one-on-one tutoring, small-group sessions, full classroom teaching, and hands-on lab instruction. My Chemistry teaching experience began in Nigeria, where I taught high school students in classrooms and coaching centers, consistently helping over 85% of my students achieve excellent exam results. Later in South Africa, I continued teaching Chemistry-related topics as a tutor. Most recently, at the University of Oregon, I taught and mentored college students in Chemistry labs, helping them troubleshoot experiments, interpret data, and build confidence in scientific reasoning.

I’ve worked with learners aged 13 to 20+ and have learned that every student absorbs information differently. The teaching method that I employ depends on factors such as class size, student learning style, and knowledge level of the student(s). I focus on breaking down challenging Chemistry concepts into simple and relatable ideas, using real-life examples. I pay close attention to common misconceptions, and I enjoy helping students overcome them. I adapt my approach to match their learning style and goals. I also provide study tips, practice questions, and strategies that help students develop long-term academic confidence.

I bring a multicultural perspective that helps me connect easily with diverse learners. This background has taught me to be patient, flexible, and highly communicative.
