I am a classical concert pianist, Steinway Teacher, and multi–international competition winner with over ten years of teaching experience. I currently serve as a piano teacher at Rutgers University, where I work with piano minors and teach in the university’s community music program. I hold an Artist Diploma from Rutgers and previously taught in the community music programs at both the University of Missouri (Mizzou) and the University of Missouri–Kansas City.
I have taught students of all ages, from young beginners to advanced pre-college musicians, conservatory students, and adult learners. My experience includes private instruction, university-level coaching, chamber music collaboration, and audition preparation. Many of my students have won top prizes in state and international piano competitions, and I greatly enjoy guiding them toward confident and polished performances.
My teaching approach combines a strong technical foundation with musical expression, healthy technique, and effective practice strategies. I emphasize tone, touch, stylistic understanding, and building independent musicianship. Whether a student is pursuing classical training, preparing for auditions, or learning for personal enjoyment, I tailor my lessons to support their individual goals. I aim to create a structured, supportive, and inspiring environment where students can grow steadily and artistically.
