Hi! My name is Anush, and I am a junior at Johns Hopkins University majoring in neuroscience on the pre-medical track. Ever since high school, tutoring has been a passion of mine—I enjoy working with students and helping them build systems that allow them to thrive in subjects that once felt challenging. My expertise includes STEM coursework, standardized testing, and college admissions, and I’m excited to help you navigate these milestones and reach your target score and dream school.
For the past three years, I have tutored classmates in rigorous STEM courses at Johns Hopkins, including Statistics and General Chemistry. Many of these subjects are not intuitive at first, which is why I strongly believe in the philosophy of “teach the student, not the curriculum.” My tutoring approach emphasizes personalized strategies and mental models tailored to each student’s learning style. My goal is not just short-term improvement, but lasting understanding and confidence.
Having recently gone through the college admissions process myself, I understand how stressful and overwhelming this journey can feel. I have worked as an advisor with Matriculate, supporting students with school list-building, extracurricular strategy, and personal statement development. This work has resulted in acceptances to Ivy League schools and nationally competitive scholarships such as the QuestBridge National Match. My goal is to help you identify best-fit schools and craft genuine, compelling essays that truly represent who you are.
I scored in the 97th percentile on the MCAT (520) and earned a 35 on the ACT. These exams require both content mastery and strategic thinking. I approach standardized testing like a puzzle—strengthening foundational knowledge while applying proven strategies so everything fits together seamlessly and you feel confident on test day.
I’m excited for the opportunity to work with you and support you in reaching your goals. Please feel free to message me on Wyzant—I look forward to meeting you!
