I'm Pooja!
I earned a Masters's degree in biomedical sciences in 2019 from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a bachelor's Degree in Genetics. I am also in the process of earning my doctorate medical degree in medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

I previously was a a NJ College and High School Instructor in K-12 Science and math. I have had 7 years of genuine classroom teaching experience. I am primarily now only a virtual tutor. Remote students from all over NJ and other parts of the US utilize my blended learning teaching skills through a virtual portal that is a true virtual classroom.

I offer a virtual experience that allows me to be in an actual classroom environment with my students (see/hear/PowerPoints). Some of my local students also opt for virtual because I can tutor at very off hours to help students later in the evening if they are studying the day before a test. I could do tutoring in person depending on distance.

I specialize in tutoring in Math, Chemistry, and Biology (85% in class pass ratio and 100% of my tutoring students pass the AP Biology exam). One of my greatest skills as a teacher and tutor is diagnosing what is making my students perform poorly - and helping them fix it. This could be how they approach their studies, their resources or even just new ways to tackle the material. The kids I tutor typically go up two letter grades and/or maintain A averages (even if they start below a C). I offer more than just tutoring. I offer the materials I use - practice tests and recorded sessions to help kids gain confidence and excel in science.
Because I have taken both the SAT and MCAT I also specialize in standardized testing tutoring in SAT Math and MCAT Sciences.
