Hello! My name is David, and I would be happy to offer my tutoring services to you. I tutor mainly in math (though I don't mind a little physics). I have a bachelor's in … Read more

He really took time to help me understand the work and kept encouraging me. I felt really confident in what I learned. He also didn't make me feel awkward-he's relatable and funny. Two thumbs way up!

This is our 2nd school year with David. This year he is tutoring my 2 sons - one in pre-calculus and the other in Geometry. He is very patient and knowledgeable.

David was very patient with my son, Benny & taught him some new ways to figure out a problem. He made Benny feel confident & comfortable. Benny is looking forward to his next lesson.

David has been terrific with my 8th grade son. He has given my son the confidence he needs as he approaches his Algebra I quizzes and tests. David immediately established a rapport with my son; an important quality for a tutor/student relationship. I would highly recommend David to anyone who needs extra help or further explanation with Algebra I.

David didn't go over things mechanically. He had real life examples and was easy to work with. He threw out some problems and patiently waited for me to answer. If I needed a push, he would give me a push but never give me the answer. I had to work to figure it out. That is how you learn! He was also very personable. I'll be meeting with him next week and the week after, etc.

GRE
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a bachelor's in mathematics from Rutgers University. I have experience passing the GREs as well as the Praxis II for mathematics. Furthermore, I have experience tutoring students taking math classes up to and including calculus. I would happy to share that knowledge and experience to help someone pass the math section of the ACT test.

I have bachelor's degree in mathematics, meaning I was required to learn math substantially more advanced than this. Plus, over the years I have gained experienced working with students (through tutoring, teaching, and co-teaching) in various math subjects ranging from pre-algebra to calculus and several math subjects in between.

I have a degree in mathematics. This includes many classes more advanced than Algebra 2, including a class simply called Advanced Algebra (where we learned to prove the theorems given in a high school algebra class). Furthermore, over the years, I have worked with students taking pre-algebra, algebra, and calculus.

I have bachelor's degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. This included taking classes such as Calculus 1, 2, 3,4, and Advanced Calculus (where we prove the theorems used in calculus 1. Also, while at Rutgers, I worked as a math tutor, tutoring students in subjects that included calculus 1 and 2.

I have obtained a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. One of the classes I took there was an upper level geometry class, which dealt with the subject on a level much more advanced than one finds in high school (I had to write a paper for that class, that I think was about 10 pages, on hyper-dimensional Euclidean geometry--yea, I had to write a paper for a math class). Therefore, I believe I am qualified to tutor high school geometry.

I took both the GRE and the Praxis II for mathematics content knowledge (which was more challenging than the GRE) and did well in math on both. I also have some experience in tutoring for standardized tests and online college entry tests (for the math portion of those tests specifically).

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I have taken courses dealing with linear algebra, including the courses Linear Algebra and Linear Programming (which is basically an applied linear algebra course).

I have a master's in education, in particular, mathematics education. As part of that, I was required to take (and pass) the Praxis II: Content Knowledge. Therefore, I am confident that I could be of assistance to someone preparing for the Praxis.

I have degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. Also, I have experience tutoring and teaching students in pre-algebra and algebra, as well as tutoring in calculus.

I have a degree in mathematics. This included taking calculus 1, 2, 3, 4 and a class called Advanced Calculus. I also have experience tutoring students in calculus 1 and 2.

The math section of the SAT's tests students math skills learned up to grade 12. I have a college degree in mathematics. I have successfully passed the GRE's (to get into graduate school) as well as the Praxis II content knowledge test for mathematics. Therefore, I am qualified to tutor students in SAT Math.

I have a degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. I have also tutored students in math subjects ranging from pre-algebra up to and including calculus 2. I know things about sine and cosine functions that could awe and amaze some people.
