I have a PhD in Atmospheric Science from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Hofstra University, where I graduated summa cum laude. My academic background has involved a lot of mathematics, including calculus, differential equations, statistics, and applied mathematics, and I have continued to use math throughout my research and professional career. I genuinely enjoy math and especially enjoy helping students feel more comfortable and confident with material that may initially seem intimidating.

I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience with students of different ages and backgrounds. I worked as a Mathnasium instructor with K–12 students, teaching both one-on-one and in small groups of up to six students, including algebra and other foundational math. I also served as a teaching assistant at Rutgers University, where I worked with college students, graded assignments and exams, and helped students understand challenging quantitative concepts. In addition, I worked as a substitute teacher at a high school and have given presentations to both high school and college students.

My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I like to figure out where they are getting stuck, explain the concept in a way that makes sense to them, and work through problems together until they feel confident doing them independently. I can also work directly from a student's syllabus, textbook, homework, or upcoming exams so our time is focused on what they actually need. I tutor Algebra I and II, Precalculus, Calculus I, and SAT Math.
