I am a mathematics tutor specializing in probability, statistics, algebra, and precalculus, with a strong quantitative academic background and a focus on clear, structured problem-solving.

I earned a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University, graduating cum laude. I completed AP Calculus during my junior year of high school and continued math coursework at my local university during my senior year. I graduated Salutatorian of my high school class and was an active participant in Math League and Chess Club, with a strong emphasis on logical reasoning and analytical thinking. I scored a 1540 on the SAT (780 Math, 760 Verbal). I have also passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, further strengthening my quantitative and financial foundation.

My teaching experience includes one-on-one instruction and small-group mentoring, working directly with students from elementary through high school age in both formal and informal teaching environments, including curriculum organization, mentorship programs, and individualized academic support. My work has involved diagnosing skill gaps, explaining abstract concepts step-by-step, and adapting explanations to each student's learning style.

My tutoring approach emphasizes understanding why methods work, not just how to apply formulas. I focus on breaking complex problems into logical steps, encouraging multiple solution paths, and helping students articulate their reasoning clearly. I tutor Algebra I and II, Precalculus, Probability, Statistics, SAT Math, and general math enrichment. I am comfortable working with motivated middle school and high school students, as well as students preparing for standardized exams. My goal as a tutor is to help students develop strong analytical skills, confidence in math, and the ability to approach unfamiliar problems calmly and methodically.
