I am a 4th year medical student at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where I have excelled academically and clinically, earning a prestigious scholarship and scoring over the 90% percentile on the USMLE Step 2 exam and the MCATs. I am a volunteer at a club where I welcome and mentor newly accepted medical students to the Einstein community and support them throughout their transition to medical school. My tutoring experience spans both one-on-one settings and group sessions, with students ranging from elementary school to college. I tutored college physics in one-on-one weekly sessions (2020-2021) and tutored an 8th grader with psychosocial challenges on a weekly basis from 2013-2020. In addition to helping with his schoolwork, I promoted positive behavioral changes and enhanced his social skills. Simultaneously, I designed and taught small classes in Talmudic law to fellow colleagues. Prior to that, I was a private tutor for a 6th grader for 2 years (2011-2013). I also participated in a yearlong weekly teacher training course in 2020 gaining additional skills and methods for effective teaching. As part of the course, I delivered a lesson for an 8th grade class.
My undergraduate education was at Towson University, where was a biology major and maintained a 3.76 GPA. This provided me with a robust foundation in biological sciences, a field I am particularly passionate about and well-equipped to teach. To further enhance my skillset, I enrolled in post-baccalaureate courses at Touro College, broadening my knowledge across various subjects, such as public speaking, and achieving a 3.94 GPA.
My methodology is to focus on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable parts. My approach is student-centered, adapting my methods to fit each learner’s unique style, whether through interactive problem-solving, real-life applications, or structured content review. With my background, I am committed to helping students not just succeed academically but truly grasp and enjoy the subjects they are studying.
