I have been helping students understand mathematics since high school, about seven years ago, both in formal study groups and informally with classmates, friends, and family members. Although I have not worked professionally as a tutor yet, teaching has always been a natural part of my academic life. I have a strong background in mathematics and have participated in academic knowledge competitions, which helped me develop solid problem-solving and analytical skills. I am most comfortable working one-on-one or with small groups, especially with students close to my age or one to two years younger. The subjects I focus on most are algebra, calculus, and discrete mathematics, and I primarily tutor math-related topics. Currently, I am pursuing my undergraduate studies and gaining professional experience through an internship at PepsiCo, which has strengthened my discipline, communication skills, and sense of responsibility.
My tutoring approach is centered on true understanding rather than memorization. I believe students learn best when they clearly understand why something works, not just how to apply a formula. I like to use everyday examples, write problems step by step, identify patterns, and teach students how to review and learn from their mistakes. When a student feels stuck or overwhelmed, I prefer to pause, reset, and approach the problem from a different angle until it makes sense. I also enjoy sharing the study techniques I have developed throughout my academic years, adapting my teaching style to each student’s learning needs. My goal is for students to feel comfortable, confident, and able to see the subject from a new perspective by the end of our sessions.
