Dear Prospective Students and Families,
My name is Dayeon, and I am a passionate violinist and dedicated educator with a lifelong commitment to sharing the joy of music. Born in Jeonju, South Korea, I began my violin journey at the age of six after being inspired by a violinist I saw on television. Since then, my path has led me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Classical Violin Performance and Music Education from Sookmyung Women’s University under the guidance of Professor Eun Kyu Yoon. I continued my studies in the United States, completing a master’s degree in Classical Violin Performance at the Manhattan School of Music, where I trained with Lucie Robert. These experiences have shaped both my artistry and my dedication to teaching students of all backgrounds.
Alongside my solo performances, I am actively engaged as a chamber musician and orchestral violinist, currently serving as a section violinist with the Helena Symphony Orchestra and performing as a substitute with the New World Symphony Orchestra. I am also a National Repertory Orchestra fellow. My teaching philosophy centers on building a strong technical foundation while nurturing each student’s unique musical voice. Whether working with beginners developing fundamental skills or advanced students refining their artistry, I strive to create a supportive, inspiring environment that encourages growth and confidence. Currently, I serve on the faculty of the New Jersey School of Music, where I have the privilege of guiding students through every stage of their musical development. I look forward to helping you or your child discover the joy, discipline, and creativity that come with learning the violin.
