I hold a bachelor’s degree in History from Montclair State University, a graduate certificate in Computer Science from NJIT, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at NJIT. Through my academic background, I've built a strong foundation in the humanities, as well as in advanced STEM subjects, including data mining, operating systems, database systems, and web development. This combination allows me to support students across a wide range of subjects, from writing and research to mathematics and computer science.
I currently work as a tutor for Grade Point Potential, and I have experience tutoring high school students by helping them strengthen their understanding of core math concepts such as precalculus. I take time to understand how each student learns best, then tailor lessons to meet their needs. For example, when working with students in math, I focus on breaking down abstract concepts into simple, step-by-step processes.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students succeed in their coursework but also to foster long-term skills in problem-solving, study habits, and independent learning. I enjoy seeing students grow more confident over time, and I strive to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and progress is celebrated. With my diverse academic background and student-centered approach, I am confident in my ability to guide learners to reach their full potential.
