I have a masters degree from Middlebury College in Spanish Linguistics. I have lived in three cities in Spain -- Bilbao, Barcelona, and Madrid, so I have very thorough familiarity with the Spanish language and Spanish culture. My time in Spain has allotted me the opportunity to learn Catalan to fluency, as well. My mother's side of the family is from Mexico, bringing to me inherent knowledge of Mexican culture and dialect, as well.

Support That Made a Real Difference
My daughter is taking AP Spanish in high school and initially felt unprepared in all areas and was considering dropping the class. Kristofer helped her prepare for a vocabulary test, and she earned a perfect score, which gave her a much-needed boost of confidence. He is calm, explains concepts clearly, and uses creative methods to help my daughter remember vocabulary. Because of that success, we now meet with him twice a week to continue building her skills. We feel very fortunate to have found him.

I had a great tutoring session with Kristofer! He gave me a clear refresher on the basic Spanish verb tenses, especially the preterite and imperfect, and explained the differences really well. His tips for remembering these tenses were super helpful. We also reviewed the future tense and how it's used differently in Spanish, which was above and beyond. I really appreciated his patience in making this all easy to follow. Highly recommend!
