I’m an experienced, certified secondary English teacher with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I earned my undergraduate degree from Loyola College (now University) in Maryland and my Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary English from Monmouth University. I’ve taught a variety of secondary English courses, from in-class support English I to IB English HL 11. I can help master the basics of grammar and writing, improve your close reading skills, or assist you in writing your college or scholarship essays. I also have years of experience in SAT Prep tutoring.
I believe in positive reinforcement and meeting my students where they are to best help them find success. Although I am not special education certified, I have years of experience working with students with IEPs and 504s and have a special interest in helping students with ADHD/ADD learn skills and strategies to help them with organization, follow-through, and focus.
