Remember how difficult it was the first time your physics teacher said you had to break forces down into components in order to use Newton's Second Law? Or when they asked you to find the maxima and minima of a complicated function? I sure do - I struggled with those things as well. Remember how difficult it was the first time your physics teacher said you had to break forces down into components in order to use Newton's Second Law? Or when they asked you to find the maxima and minima of a complicated function? I sure do - I struggled with those things as well. But I found that with good teachers and some hard work, I was able to master difficult concepts. Through my struggle, I learned how to effectively instruct students in physics and math.

I have tutored throughout high school, college and graduate school, and have experience tutoring all levels of students - from elementary school students to upper level undergraduate students. I also taught physics at the college level and was nominated for an outstanding teacher award.

I have my Ph.D. in physics and through earning my degree I have obtained a deep understanding of the field, as well as plenty of experience teaching it. My enthusiasm for teaching physics and math is apparent in my tutoring sessions. This makes students excited to learn and therefore more receptive to the concepts.

Additionally, I know the ins and outs of the math sections on the new SAT and ACT, as well as the SAT Math Level 1 and Level 2 subject tests. AP physics and calculus? Got you covered there as well!

Feel free to contact me and ask any questions you may have, whether they are about my qualifications, my teaching philosophy or anything else that comes to mind!

Statistics

Statistics

Statistics was an integral part of my research as a graduate student in physics, so I have first hand experience in applied statistics. I work full time at a private tutoring company, where statistics is one of my specialties. My specialties are descriptive and inferential statistics, as well as probability and combinatorics.

Great Teacher

Jeff was very well prepared for the lesson and he explained the problems well and approached them from a test taking point of view. Very helpful!

Great meeting!

Jeff asked very valuable questions and quicky helped my son to realize weak spots that require more time to practice. I hope next lessons will help to get my son better results with his math tests. Thank you Jeff for a turning point !

Physics calculus based

Excellent at explaining physics helped me with everything we have learned this semester in my college physics course to prepare for my finale exam. Definitely recommend!

Great physics tutor

Efficient and thorough tutor who jumps in on any subject matter. Also teaches math. Busy schedule but tries hard to fit you in to schedule. Can work on topics following course content or without a text book

Great teacher, seems to have a true mastery of physics.

I just finished my first hour with Jeff and it was immediately made clear that he understands what he is helping me with completely. He listened to my needs and immediately started to help me with a physics problem. We worked through the problem and got the correct answer. Simple as that. He had no delay, no stopping to think, he very simply just taught me how to solve the problem, and then we solved the problem, answering any questions I had along the way. I very much would recommend him to anyone having issues with Physics or Calculus, and I'm sure he shows an equal mastery of all of the other subjects he offers lessons for. I look forward to working with him again.

Highly efficient tutor

Jeff listened carefully to my needs, and efficiently guided me through all the practice problems! We were able to finish on time with great clarity. His usage of the virtual whiteboard helped greatly with the visualization of the concepts. Very grateful for his tremendous help.

Jin , 3 lessons with Jeff

Great Tutor!

My daughter has learned so much from only three sessions! I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone seeking a SAT physics test tutor. He has filled the gaps within my daughter’s physics knowledge and continues to teacher her more.

Rupal, 22 lessons with Jeff

Knowledgeable and kind tutor

Jeff helped me learn MCAT physics very well. He took the time to go slowly over things I needed extra time with and explained tough concepts very well. He was also very nice and professional. Overall Jeff was wonderful!

Great teacher, extremely knowledgeable and helpful

Working with Jeff was an absolute pleasure. He was available even at 10 o’clock at night, right before a geometry quiz. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him, and will certainly study again in the future!
