Hello! My name is Kay, and I’m a dedicated and passionate tutor with a background in psychology, education, and the arts. I recently graduated from Bard College with a degree in psychology from the Math, Science, and Computing Division, and I’m excited to return to tutoring to help students thrive!

I have experience tutoring students of all ages, from early learners to college-level students. In high school, I worked at a well-known tutoring company, where I tutored students ages 3-15 in math and reading through one-on-one instruction. I also volunteered as a tutor through the National Honor Society, assisting peers with various subjects. My approach focuses on breaking down complex material into its foundational elements, helping students build a strong understanding before moving on to more advanced concepts. I prioritize patience, encouragement, and adapting to each student’s unique learning style.

My academic background includes advanced coursework in AP Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, AP Chemistry, AP U.S. History, as well as college-level Statistics, Calculus, Research Methods, and Design and Analysis for Psychology. This allows me to tutor across a wide range of subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies.

Beyond academics, I am an avid figure drawer and designer of posters for music and arts events. I believe that creativity and critical thinking go hand in hand, and I bring this perspective into my tutoring. My goal is to help students not only improve their understanding of the subject matter but also develop confidence in their learning abilities.

Whether you're looking for support in elementary, middle, high school, or college-level coursework, I’m here to help! Feel free to reach out, and let’s work together to make your learning engaging and meaningful.
