Hi, I'm Catherine. I graduated cum laude from Rowan University with a degree in Communication Studies and a specialization in Interpersonal Communication which basically means I love people! Studying the interactions humans have with one another has always been fascinating to me and I feel lucky to have found such a major in college. The best part of this field, though, is the writing! For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about using language to share my understanding of the world as well as helping others do the same. Now, I have a bachelors degree to help me do it.
I have three years' worth of experience tutoring at the Rowan University Writing Center. While there, I had the opportunity to address countless writing and pubic speaking concerns while maintaining confidence and excitement for education within my clients. I've also conducted research and presented my findings about the use of mindfulness in a tutoring setting especially with neurodiverse clientele at the Mid-Atlantic Region Writing Center Association conference in March 2019.
