Mid-semester, I was consistently receiving B’s on my exams and began to develop a lack of interest for chemistry class. However, Mrs. Anna helped me rekindle my motivation to thoroughly understand each concept and perform well. Her explanations are very easy to follow along with and she always gives the most helpful tips. For example, when I was struggling to balance chemical equations, Mrs. Anna showed me a shortcut that essentially allowed me to get a 99% on my most recent exam! She is able to teach anything well, whether it be homework problems, textbook exercises, or simply topics listed in a study guide. If you are looking to learn ahead but do not have the materials to do so, Mrs. Anna also has topic lessons prepared. Unlike many tutors who simply spend the entire class delivering lectures, she runs through examples and therefore practices active recall, the most effective high-yield learning technique. And while many tutors may be excellent teachers, they can often be condescending and impatient. That is not the case with Mrs. Anna. If I am struggling to grasp a particular concept, she remains calm and provides extra guidance. Last week, I was drained after finishing a difficult calculus final and felt bit drowsy during the lesson. She noticed and was extremely understanding. To receive that kindness was very reassuring. Now, rather than having to work extra for an A, I only need to score a low C in order to maintain an A in the class, not to mention that I already have a strong understanding of each chapter already, thanks to Mrs. Anna. This would not have been possible without her help. So again, I want to thank Mrs. Anna for allowing me do much better in chemistry and would like to encourage other students to work with her for great results as well!
