Hi, I’m Alexander! I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, where I built a strong foundation in math through coursework in algebra, calculus, and differential equations. Math has always been a passion of mine, not just in solving problems, but helping others understand it and feel confident with it.
I have 5–10 years of tutoring experience with students from K–12 through college. I’ve worked in-person and online, one-on-one and in small groups, and I’ve also volunteered at my local library, helping several students at once after school to make sure they didn’t fall behind. Whether it was Math, History, Science, or Grammar, I’ve guided students in strengthening fundamentals, tackling advanced topics, completing homework, and preparing for exams.
Every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to their style. Some benefit from a structured, step-by-step process, while others learn best through practice and guided discovery. I like to break concepts into clear, manageable steps, using examples, visuals, and real-world applications so the material feels approachable. Then I encourage students to try solving problems independently. If they struggle, I guide them until it clicks.
Whether we’re working on algebra basics, calculus, or differential equations, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing real understanding. More than just helping students ace their next test, I want students to build lasting confidence and skills for future courses and endeavors.
I’m always open to any resources or suggestions from students or parents to improve the learning experience, and I make it a priority to be approachable and responsive. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
