Hi, I’m Erick Marroquin! I recently graduated from Yale University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited). I am currently pursuing industry experience as a roboticist while I tutor and hang around my hometown.

Thanks to the immense, unwavering support I received from family, instructors, and mentors throughout my academic journey, I’ve been able to spend much of my recent life pursuing cool engineering ideas and projects.

I graduated from WNY Memorial High School in 2020 where I scored a 1470 on my SAT (770 on Math and 700 on Reading and Writing) and was admitted to Yale University through the QuestBridge National College Match.

Throughout my undergrad, I served as a college advisor for the young nonprofit Circle Match where I taught personal essay writing, edited college applications, and provided guidance to low-income, high-achieving juniors and seniors in underserved, underfunded public high schools within Hudson County, NJ.

I also served as a mentor for Yale Funbotics where I taught New Haven middle school students fundamental engineering design principles through hands-on activities and a cone-stacking robot competition.

I have served as an SAT prep Math tutor (helping students raise their score by an average of 60 points) as well as a physics and Spanish peer tutor. (I am a native speaker and have spent the first five years of my life in El Salvador.)
