Hello! My name is Mollie and I am a playwright and theater administrator. I offer tutoring services in Theater, Acting, Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Writing. I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2022 with a concentration in Theater and Writing, receiving the David Lindsay-Abaire Award for Excellence in Playwriting upon my graduation. I also received my Associate Degree from Bard High School Early College in 2018. I've previously tutored students for about a year and a half in English and Theater as a volunteer tutor with EduMate NYC, where I also led the creation of their arts tutoring offerings. I have teaching experience from a teaching internship with Shakespeare Theatre Company and as a student teacher with Sarah Lawrence's Lunchbox Theatre program, as well as extensive childcare experience.
I have worked with students ages K-12, and I'm the most experienced in working with ages K-8. I love sharing my writing and theater skills with students to help them sharpen their writing/performance abilities and also learn new forms of self-expression. My tutoring is tailored to your unique interests! I tutored a student in English who loved Beethoven, so I prepared passages about Beethoven for him to work on in our tutoring sessions. I believe the best way to learn is if you love what you're learning about, and I'll bring this personalized approach to our sessions.
