Hooman emphasizes the concepts and works with you to attain a genuine mastery of the material and to familiarize yourself with the variety of ways that topics are assessed. As a teacher, Hooman had unparalleled results on AP exams–with all students receiving AP Calculus credit and a majority earning 5’s–placing his district twice on the College Board’s AP Honor Roll. He knows the exam, how it’s graded, and tips and strategies for success. Hooman has been an AP Reader (exam grader) for AP Calculus AB and BC, so he knows all the best strategies for the exam. He is a 5-time Teacher of the Year recipient, is a 2-time Governor’s Educator of the Year nominee, is a Bezos Educator Scholar, and has been an Adjunct Instructor of the Year. Beyond having taught every math course there is at the high school level, Hooman has also taught SAT/ACT test prep courses and is also an adjunct intructor at an R1 University.
As a consultant and coach, Hooman has worked with organizations such as the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), Marco Learning, Perfection Learning, and Radiant Minded to train students and teachers alike on everything AP Calculus. He has presented his AP Calculus success story at the AP Annual Conference and is an AP Daily Instructor (find him on some videos of AP Calculus BC, units 7 and 8).
