I am Samuel, a current student at Rutgers University in New Jersey. I have been passionate about learning and educating since a young age, going out of my way to independently educate myself on topics that I am passionate about including biology, history, music, and many other academic subjects. I graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ in 2023 with a GPA of 4.15 (unweighted). I volunteered as a tutor for the Achieve Foundation from 2021-2023 assisting middle and high schoolers in math and science. I employ a fluid approach that discusses and accommodates the strengths, vulnerabilities, and level of knowledge of my students to ensure that they are able to make the most of our sessions in the way that they are looking to. In 10th grade, I received a 1560/1600 on the SAT (March 13, 2021). In addition, I received AP test scores of 5 (World History 2020, Statistics 2021, U.S. History 2022, Biology 2023), 4 (Chemistry 2022), and 3 (Calculus BC 2022 (AB sub-score of 4)). I privately studied music (achieving a strong foundation in Music Theory) under professional violinist Paul Woodiel from elementary through high school; I am skilled in playing both Violin and Flute (including piccolo) and am in the process of learning Piano and Bass Guitar.
I am confident, quick, and adaptable when learning, integrating, and synthesizing knowledge. I believe that I am able to educate and tutor in a broad range of academic subjects at the early college level and below. I perform exceptionally well in standardized testing and am adept at preparing students for their SAT, ACT, and AP tests.
