I am currently a senior biochemistry major at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a student in the BS/MD program. Through my coursework in general and organic chemistry, biology, neuroscience, and advanced mathematics, I have developed a strong foundation in both the life and physical sciences. My academic training has given me the ability to explain complex topics in clear, approachable ways that help students connect theory with practical understanding.
For the past six years, I have tutored over 200 students ranging in age from 4 to 18, accumulating more than 800 hours of individualized and small-group instruction. I have taught a wide range of subjects including biology, chemistry, neuroscience, mathematics, history, essay writing, resume building, and business. My approach focuses on identifying each student’s unique learning style and adapting lessons to build both confidence and mastery. Whether helping a high school student prepare for an AP exam or guiding an elementary student through basic science concepts, I emphasize patience, positive reinforcement, and creative problem solving.
In addition to tutoring, I have led science outreach and educational events as President of the American Chemical Society at NJIT and served as the Science Coaching and Curriculum Lead for the NorthSouth Foundation, where I supervised curriculum design for multiple STEM courses. These experiences have strengthened my ability to teach across ability levels and to make learning engaging and accessible. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and long-term academic success.
