I am a certified teacher with over 10 years of experience in education, including the last 6 years focused on teaching Spanish to middle school students. I hold a degree in Spanish and Sociology from Rutgers University, and I’ve built my career around helping students develop confidence, communication skills, and cultural awareness through language learning. My background in sociology also supports a student-centered approach that values individual strengths, learning styles, and personal growth.
My teaching experience spans both classroom and one-on-one settings, and I specialize in supporting students in grades 5 through 9. I have worked with a wide range of learners, including students with IEPs, heritage speakers, and those new to the language. I take pride in creating a calm, encouraging space where students feel safe to ask questions, practice without judgment, and grow at their own pace. Whether we’re reviewing vocabulary, working on grammar structures, or building speaking confidence, I use a variety of tools — visuals, games, conversation practice, and real-world examples — to make learning engaging and meaningful.
I’m passionate about helping students feel capable and motivated. Whether your child is struggling with Spanish in school or wants to get ahead, I will meet them where they are and help them move forward. I’m here to support academic success, but more importantly, to help students feel seen, heard, and empowered in their learning journey.
