Teaching is something that I have always wanted to do. I have spent five years in colleges completing a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in education k-6.
During my time in college I tutored high school students in algebra and calculus. I also spent my high school years tutoring math in a self inclusion special education class. I really enjoy working with students and helping them succeed.
Since I did all of higher education in Connecticut there are different, higher, standards. I have taken and passed dyslexia tests, a Foundations of Reading test, the Praxis II test and the Principles of Learning and Teaching test.
These tests allow me to be more prepared for teaching all subjects and show I know how to best help students in language arts.
I have always enjoyed teaching and bringing in new fun ideas for students to learn. Sometimes students shut down and get frustrated. It is important to me to learn about students to find ways to best teach and relate to their interests to help them understand the best that they can.
