Hi, my name is Arya! I recently graduated Cornell University with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Business. Over my time at school, I have been able to nurture my passion for all things STEM from calculus and algebra to biology and physics. As much as I love these subjects, I also see (and have experienced) the very real challenges that come with learning them. I have found that beyond the subject matter, it is the teachers and support you have that makes the ultimate difference in your experience in a course; the right people will help you truly understand the material (and hopefully enjoy learning it too!). I have been a tutor many times but I have also been on the receiving end of tutoring, so I see what is valuable and effective in a tutor.
I truly love helping others develop this understanding and build confidence in these courses. I have been tutoring algebra since middle school, and as my own coursework advanced so have the levels that I have tutored. I have lots of experience in working with algebra and pre-algebra, physics (algebra-based 1 and 2 in addition to calculus based), calculus (pre-calc, AB and BC), differential equations, and biomaterials and other bio classes alike. In addition to being an independent tutor, I have led classes during college for many of these subjects with high success rates and great feedback from the students, and I have proficiencies in many other stem subjects (feel free to reach out and see if I can support in the areas you need!).
I have also worked at a learning academy where I worked with younger children (elementary level) to develop their math and literacy skills, so I am happy to work with all levels!
I understand how difficult these subjects can be and would love to share the knowledge and advice that I have gathered both as a tutor and as someone who has been tutored. Please feel free to connect with me :)
