In general, I use a mix of theories and strategies, including CI and Direct Instruction, with a sprinkling of games. We will work together to establish your goals and the best way to reach them. I can also prepare activities for you to practice if that is something you're interested in. You will quickly gain confidence and feel more confident in your abilities!
I am a native English speaker who started learning Spanish at age 15 and just kept going! I've lived in Mexico, Spain, and Cuba soaking up both language and culture. I have taught all levels from pre-K to College with most of my experience working with high schoolers (14-18 years old).
I prefer to work with high schoolers because that is what I know best, however, I have had a lot of fun also working with middle schoolers (6th-8th grade/11-13 years old) and adults (18+).
