Hello! I have a master's degree in English/Language Arts, and I have sixteen years of high school teaching experience. I was the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year and 2022-2023 District Teacher of the Year, and I absolutely love my job! I've taught AP Language and Composition since 2017, 9th grade English since 2011, and have also taught 10th grade Honors English. I have the energy to keep you engaged and the patience to help you find confidence in your writing-whether it be rhetorical analysis, literary analysis, research essays, proofreading, test prep, and more. I can help you improve your organization, fluency, and analysis skills, so you feel more confident and successful with your writing. During the summer months, I offer Pre-AP Lang instruction sessions (in addition to SAT/ACT prep) to a limited number of students so let me know if you're interested in prepping over the summer.

I currently still teach 9th grade, and we focus on developing skills in analysis, fluency, and proofreading throughout the year.

Amazing and patient tutor!!

Sarah was an excellent tutor! She did a great job helping my 10th-grade daughter, who needed help with her literary analysis essay on short notice. She was flexible, patiently went over her essays with her, and also provided valuable feedback. As a result, my daughter gained much confidence, and we will definitely ask again for Sarah's help next time.
