Judie is based in southern New Jersey and just returned to academia after being in sales and marketing for laboratory and pharmaceutical products and services since 1991. Immediately following completion of her Master of Science Degree in Immunology at the University of Toledo, Judie spent several years as a research scientist in cellular and molecular immunology at the Medical College of Ohio as well as the University of Michigan. She is now an Adjunct Instructor for General Biology Laboratory at Rowan College and she held a position as Adjunct Professor of Microbiology at Burlington County College in New Jersey for two years.
In her "spare" time, Judie takes private voice lessons and has been known to sing the occasional aria and also sings with Sharim v’Sharot, a small, semi-professional choir. She enjoys working on beautifying her gardens and tries to keep up with her physical fitness through walking. She also recently earned her Amateur Radio (“Ham”) Technician license.
While Judie hasn't actually tutored in science, she does teach science on a regular basis to gently educate friends and family about the concepts involved in the process of science and well as various bits of information about our natural world. She has taught microbiology lecture at the college level and now teaches biology lab, also at the college level. Even when she was in the business development world, it was all science-based and teaching was a regular part of her role to convey information and increase understanding.
Judie has spoken and written throughout her career and it has been generally recognized that she is a good writer, using our language correctly, and expressing herself well. With this foundation, it is only a step away to helping others to also gain these skills. Additionally, she is about to begin a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course to become certified in that arena.
Judie would very much like to help you to gain a better understanding of some of her own areas of expertise. She
