Hello parents, families, and students! I am a high school educator with a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing looking to help students prepare for college by assisting them in writing a strong college essay that is not only representative of their character, but also reflective of their capacity for success at the university level.

As a former admissions representative (6 years of experience) and adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University (1.5 years of experience), I am well-versed and knowledgeable in exactly what college admissions counselors look for in student writing samples. As a college essay tutor, my primary goal is to help students feel confident in their ability to accurately portray themselves and their experiences on the Common App.

Throughout my career as a twelfth grade English/Language Arts teacher, I have helped many of my students write and refine their essays for college admission. After receiving one-on-one advising with me on their work, several of them received merit scholarships to the institutions of their choice. Parents of students who have worked with me on their college essays have commended my services, contacting me personally to share that their child’s final draft made them emotional and/or was the best they’d ever seen their child write. Experiences like these have motivated me to offer my services to other students and families over the summer.

Many colleges and universities offer early application opportunities for waived fees, so it’s important to get ahead and be prepared. By working with me on their essay this summer, students can prepare their application in advanced and enter their final year of high school with minimal stress and maximum time to dedicate to their classwork.
