Bio

Hi! I’m Lexi, a math and test prep tutor with a background in mechanical engineering. I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering (with a minor in Architectural Studies), where I built a strong foundation in algebra through calculus and developed a love for problem-solving.

Hi! I’m Lexi, a math and test prep tutor with a background in mechanical engineering. I earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering (with a minor in Architectural Studies), where I built a strong foundation in algebra through calculus and developed a love for problem-solving.

I currently tutor high school students one-on-one in math and SAT/ACT prep, helping them not just get the right answers, but actually understand the “why” behind them. I’ve also worked as a Calculus Cavalry tutor in college, providing in-person, drop-in help across a range of math courses, so I’m very comfortable working with different learning styles and levels.

Outside of tutoring, I’m also a real estate agent and previously worked as an engineer, which has really strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, relatable way and stay organized and adaptable.

My teaching style is supportive, interactive, and very step-by-step. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and confident working through problems on their own. My goal is always to make math feel more manageable—and maybe even a little enjoyable :)
