Hello,
My name is Maxwell (Max) and I am currently a second year law student at Seton Hall University School of Law. I graduated from Monmouth University in 2023 with a B.A. in Psychology. At Monmouth, I excelled in writing intensive courses and found my strength was reading, writing, and synthesizing information. After graduating from Monmouth I spent six months self-teaching on the LSAT. My first ever score on the LSAT was a 152 and my top score was a 169. In achieving such growth in such a short period of time, I began tutoring other individuals on the LSAT. My teaching methods change with every student I work with. The first session is spent getting to know how the student learns, and I achieve this by asking them to explain how they are thinking through whatever problem is in front of them. With my background in Psychology, I am able to quickly match whatever style a student may need and form a plan for future growth for the student to eventually reach their goals. Most of my sessions have been one on one tutoring sessions via Zoom or In-Person. I have held a handful of LSAT teaching sessions for a group of seven students. The ages I have taught have varied from as young as twelve years old to as old as individuals in their mid thirties. My passion in life is to learn and share wisdom. I have had strong mentorship dating back to my elementary school days and have taken individuals under my wing as I have grown.
As I am currently in school, my brain is fine tuned to thinking about studying and test preparation. I have always lived by the belief that life is what you make of it and the same goes for approaching any subject you are trying to learn. While some of my classes may be frustrating at times (I am sure you can relate), I always try to find the positive in it and make learning a truly fun and positive experience. I find tutoring to be an honor and a privilege and I would love to get the opportunity to work with you or your child.
