Hi! My name is Ketrin. I currently live in New Jersey, but I am from Italy. I am a polyglot and a foreign language lover. I am fluent in Italian, Albanian, English, and Spanish and have knowledge of Chinese Mandarin. I graduated magna cum laude from the " Universita’ degli Studi di Macerata ", Italy, with a Degree in Translation and Liaison Interpreting in English, Spanish, and Chinese in 2017. I have been living in the USA since 2018 when I took the decision to be an Au Pair, an experience that gave me the opportunity to improve my English and later my Spanish as well due to the multiculturality of the States. During the term of the program, I started volunteering for my teenage host kids and a few of their friends with Italian tutoring classes. Afterward, I decided to take up a career in tutoring. I started tutoring English and Spanish to students from my same college in Italy and tutoring Italian to some students at Drew University, Madison, NJ – all between the eighteen and middle 20s. My patience, dedication, care, and personality make it easy for me to work with others, independently from their age.
I can now say that I have five years experience of tutoring mostly Italian, English, and Spanish; the first two years volunteering and the last three as a professional. My approach as a tutor is flexible! It is all adjusted to your needs, goals, interests, and level. As an example, together we can review grammar rules that could be particularly hard for you, and we can have conversations to improve your vocabulary and fluency, or if you are interested in learning a language from scratch, we will start from the basis of it. I am very supportive and appreciative of your interest in languages. Remember, in the past, I was in your position, hence I know the meaning of learning another language; you will always receive my help, patience, passion, and understanding.
