As a native French speaker, I bring not only fluency in the language but also a deep cultural understanding, having lived in France from 1977 to 2008 before moving to the United States. When I arrived in the U.S., I didn’t speak or understand a word of English, so I know exactly what it feels like to learn a new language from scratch. That experience allows me to be patient, understanding, and supportive, creating a safe space where students can learn without fear of judgment. I know the challenges that come with language learning, and I also know how rewarding it is to overcome them.

In the U.S., I worked for more than six years as an assistant in a French school, helping children aged 3-5 develop their language skills in an immersive and nurturing environment. This experience taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to different learning styles, using interactive activities, games, and storytelling to make learning engaging and effective. Whether I’m working with children or adults, I tailor my approach to meet each student’s individual needs, focusing on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversation practice to build confidence and fluency.

As a hardworking and friendly tutor, I am dedicated to helping my students succeed, whether they need support with academic coursework, exam preparation, or simply want to improve their conversational skills. My goal is not only to teach the language but also to share the beauty of French culture, making learning a truly enriching experience. Most importantly, I want my students to feel confident and supported, knowing that I understand their journey because I have lived it myself.
