Hello! My name is Christine and I am a current Accounting student at the University of Connecticut, and have graduated from Pascack Hills High School with a 4.1 GPA. I have provided tutoring services through both National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. I have given 1 hour sessions with personalized practice, vocab lessons, grammar, etc for both middle school and high school students for English and Spanish. I have the Spanish-English Seal of Biliteracy, and I have tutored for 2 years through both one on one and volunteering. I greatly enjoy seeing children grow and learn, and believe that practice and mentorship are the key to success.
I believe that it is first key to listen to the student, and hear them voice their troubles and points that they would like to work on, while also acknowledging their strengths. I try to take a holistic approach, and incorporate a students interests with the academics that they are learning. Engaging the student really makes all the difference! Establishing a relationship is also extremely important, so that the student feels comfortable asking for help or any extra attention.
