Hi! I’m a third-year medical student with a passion for science, education, and helping students build confidence in their academic abilities. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with minors in Biology and Chemistry from Duke University and my Master of Science in Neuroimaging and Informatics from the University of Southern California. I’m currently pursuing my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree at A.T. Still University, where I am a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, an academic honor society recognizing students in the top 20% of their class. I have also successfully passed both USMLE Step 1 and COMLEX Level 1.
My academic background allows me to tutor a wide range of subjects, including biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and medical board preparation. Through my undergraduate and graduate research experiences, I developed a strong foundation in scientific reasoning, critical thinking, and breaking down complex concepts. My medical training has further strengthened my ability to apply these subjects to real-world clinical scenarios. I also offer homework assistance, study skills development, and college preparation for elementary, middle, and high school students.
My teaching approach emphasizes understanding rather than memorization. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to their individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. I use active recall, practice questions, visual explanations, and step-by-step problem-solving to make challenging material more approachable. Whether you’re a younger student looking for extra academic support, a college student navigating a difficult science course, or a medical student preparing for board exams, my goal is to create a supportive, engaging environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and developing the skills to succeed independently.
