I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, a Master of Science in Mathematics with a computer concentration, a second Master of Science in Mathematics, and ultimately a PhD in Mathematics. Over the course of my 30-year career as a full-time college professor, I taught a wide range of mathematics courses, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus I–IV, Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. Throughout my teaching career, I consistently received positive feedback from students who appreciated both my knowledge of the subject and my patient teaching style.
My approach to tutoring is based on the belief that every student is capable of learning mathematics when concepts are explained in a way that matches their individual learning style. Because I have spent many years studying and teaching mathematics at different levels, I am able to explain difficult topics in multiple ways until they become clear and understandable. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities.
