Hello! My name is Zyon, and I enjoy helping students feel more confident in subjects that once felt overwhelming. I have a strong academic background in both STEM and the humanities, earning A’s in College Composition, Foundations of Biology I and II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus at a junior college, as well as a 3 on the AP Language and Composition exam. These experiences helped me develop strong analytical and writing skills, and they allow me to explain complex ideas in ways that are clear, relatable, and easy to understand.
I have tutored students both individually and in group settings, and I always start by figuring out where a student is getting stuck and why. From there, I work collaboratively with the student using clear explanations, practical examples, and thoughtful questions to guide them toward understanding rather than just giving answers. I especially enjoy working with middle school, high school, and early college students, as this is often when academic challenges can impact confidence the most.
My tutoring approach is built around patience, flexibility, and clarity. I believe learning works best in a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more independent learners who feel capable and confident in their abilities.
