About Tyler

Bio

Hi! I’m Tyler, a senior at Cornell University studying Chemistry and Physics, graduating with a 4.0/4.0 GPA. I scored a 520 on the MCAT (132/128/132/128) after just three weeks of focused studying, and I’ll be starting medical school this fall with no gap year. So far, I received 10 interview invitations and 2 MD acceptances, including a T20 program.

I know firsthand how competitive and overwhelming the premed journey can feel. My mission is to help students succeed by learning how to study smarter, not longer - and by building confidence in their ability to master challenging material. I strongly believe that with the right strategy and guidance, any student can achieve their goals.

I currently tutor students in MCAT preparation (specializing in chemistry/physics), personal statement and secondary essay writing, and premed advising. At Cornell, I’ve served as a Teaching Assistant for three semesters in inorganic chemistry, quantum mechanics, and thermodynamics/statistical mechanics where I focused on breaking down complex concepts into clear, intuitive explanations. I am also a peer advisor, helping other students navigate the pre-med journey and medical school admissions process.

My goal is not just to help students score higher or write stronger essays, but to help them develop the confidence and mindset needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive premed landscape.

Chemistry

Chemistry

I am a senior with extensive experience in chemistry, having earned an A or A+ in every chemistry course during my time at Cornell. I have served as a teaching assistant for multiple courses, including inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry, where I supported students with both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. My academic performance and teaching experience have given me a strong foundation across core areas of chemistry and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and effectively.
College Counseling

College Counseling

I am a Cornell University student with firsthand experience navigating highly competitive admissions processes. In the 2025-2026 application cycle, I received 9 medical school interviews and 2 MD acceptances, including a T20 program, giving me a strong understanding of how selective admissions decisions are made. I use this insight to help students build compelling, well-positioned applications through effective storytelling and strategic planning. My goal is to help each student present their strongest, most authentic candidacy.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

I am an incoming medical student admitted to multiple programs, including a T20 medical school, with interview performance being a key factor in my success. I have extensive firsthand experience preparing for traditional, MMI, and behavioral interviews, and I understand what admissions committees look for in strong, authentic candidates. I help applicants structure compelling answers, communicate confidently, and turn their experiences into clear narratives that resonate with interviewers. My approach focuses on strategy, clarity, and authenticity rather than memorized scripts.
MCAT

MCAT

With just 3 weeks of studying, I scored 520 on the MCAT (97th percentile). Additionally, I achieved perfect scores (132, 100th percentile) in the following sections: Chemistry/Physics and Biology/Biochemistry. With a solid strategy and personalized guidance, I believe any student can succeed in a short period of time.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I applied to medical school in the 2025–2026 cycle, receiving 9 interview invitations and 2 MD acceptances, including a T20 program. Through this process, I learned how admissions committees evaluate applicants beyond metrics - focusing on narrative, reflection, and authenticity. I specialize in helping students craft compelling personal statements that clearly communicate motivation, maturity, and fit for medicine. My approach turns strong experiences into cohesive stories that resonate with admission committees.
