Hello! My name is Gina P. I am a former special education teacher with a passion for working with individuals with disabilities. I was lucky enough to have found my passion early in life and have been working with children and adults with disabilities for over 20 years. I have a B.S. in Special Education with a minor in Autism from Liberty University and am currently licensed in North Carolina in Exceptional Children: General and Adaptive Curriculum, Illinois as a Learning Behavior Specialist, and pending licensure in New Jersey as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities.

As a tutor, it is my job to tailor the instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners on an individual basis. I use a variety of strategies to reinforce content and give students the tools they need to be successful.

I have experience working with students from K-12 with specialization at the elementary level. I have worked with students with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, learning disabilities, mild to severe intellectual disabilities, and special medical conditions with a wide range of cognitive levels and abilities. I also understand the need for behavioral/environmental supports and will work with you on an individual basis to determine how else I can contribute to the student's success.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Open communication is very important to me, so please do not hesitate! :)
