I’m a science and math tutor with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Barnard College of Columbia University and a Fulbright Program research background. My academic training and research experience give me a strong foundation in biology, general sciences, and quantitative reasoning across multiple levels.
I tutor students from elementary school through college and adapt each session to the student’s age, goals, and learning style. I believe effective learning comes from a balance of conceptual understanding and strategic memorization, and I help students figure out how to study efficiently rather than relying on one-size-fits-all methods. This includes building recall systems, breaking down complex topics, and developing clear problem-solving approaches.
In addition to subject support, I emphasize study skills that transfer across classes: organization, time management, note-taking, and exam preparation. My background in research and applied science allows me to explain material clearly, connect concepts to real-world examples, and adjust explanations when students get stuck. I aim to help students not only improve academically, but also feel more confident and independent as learners.
