Hi, I'm Alex! I'm an engineer with a passion for teaching STEM and helping students build the skills and confidence to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

With a BS in Civil Engineering from TCNJ (GPA 4.0, 2015), a Master of Science in Data Science from NYU (GPA 3.7, 2021), and 10+ years of industry experience, I bring academic depth and real-world perspective to STEM tutoring. My coursework spans Math, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, and Data Science at the undergraduate and graduate level, with strong fundamentals in foundational subjects including Pre-Algebra through Pre-Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Chemistry. I also have strong familiarity with SAT math.

Teaching has always been something I've been drawn to. My goal is to give you the tools, confidence, and problem solving skills that go beyond the classroom and serve you throughout your academic and professional journey.
As an engineer at heart, I believe the best way to truly understand something is to apply it across different contexts. My sessions are hands-on and problem solving focused. We work at your pace, ask the right questions, and find a personalized approach that works for you.

I understand that learning something new can come with discomfort. Feelings of frustration and confusion are normal and indicate growth. Drawing from my own experiences, I can help you become aware of and work through those feelings so you don't have to navigate the struggle alone.

I also believe STEM doesn't have to be boring. Whether it's sports, music, or everyday life, there is always a way to make STEM relevant and stoke the curiosity of any learner.
