I'm currently an electrical and computer engineering student at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Math and science have always been my strongest areas, and I did especially well in the courses I want to tutor, including Calculus 1 and 2, physics, and chemistry, along with all the high school math that builds up to them. Because I took these subjects recently myself, the common sticking points are still fresh in my mind, which helps me spot exactly where a student is getting tripped up and explain it in a way that clicks for them instead of just repeating the textbook.

Most of my teaching so far has been one on one with classmates and friends, walking them through problem sets, helping them prep for exams, and breaking down concepts they were stuck on. What I've learned is that most students don't need to be lectured at, they need someone patient who can slow down, work through problems alongside them, and connect the material to something they already understand. I try to figure out how each student thinks and meet them there rather than forcing one rigid method.

My approach is simple and student driven. Before a session I ask what the student wants to focus on, whether it's a specific assignment, an upcoming test, or a concept that isn't landing, so I show up prepared for exactly what they need. We work through real problems together, and I make sure they can do it on their own before we move on. I'm most comfortable with high school and early college math, SAT and ACT math prep, physics, and chemistry, and I genuinely enjoy the moment when something finally clicks for a student.
