Hi! I'm Mirey, a tutor with a background in English, Psychology, and education. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University with a minor in English and went on to earn a master's degree in Applied Psychology with a 4.0 GPA. Hi! I'm Mirey, a tutor with a background in English, Psychology, and education. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University with a minor in English and went on to earn a master's degree in Applied Psychology with a 4.0 GPA. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Counseling Psychology, where I continue to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I also scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing section.

I have experience tutoring students both one-on-one and in educational settings. I began tutoring English one-on-one with an elementary student in 2020, and for the past 3+ years, I have tutored elementary-level Math and English in both classroom settings and private one-on-one sessions, adapting instruction to each student’s individual learning needs and skill level. In ELA, I have worked with students on reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and foundational literacy skills. My experience also includes working with children on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities, which has strengthened my ability to individualize instruction and break down challenging concepts.

My coursework includes Psychology of Learning, Creative Writing, Research in Disciplines: Topics in Writing, Cognition, Cognitive Assessment, Psychometrics, Applied Psychology, and Research Design. My undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs have also given me extensive experience writing research papers, literature reviews, case studies, and academic essays.
