I'm Dan! I'm an expert college educator, consultant, and tutor across the humanities and social sciences. I received my PhD and MA in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California and my BA in Anthropology from the University at Buffalo. I'm currently Adjunct Assistant Professor of Media Studies at Hofstra University, where I teach classes like Social Media, Technology, and Policy, Media Literacy, and Mass Media and Society. I have 7+ years experience in the classroom and as a writing consultant, with expertise in helping students succeed at critical thinking, writing, and analysis.

I'm an engaging and fun teacher who uses a variety of methods and practical examples to help students ground knowledge in the real world. I use media clips, interactive activities, and fascinating objects to engage students in active learning. I have experience with students of all ages, from elementary to college and beyond.
