I am a State Certified K-5 teacher who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in English. I am also a committed educator who believes in the success of all students at all levels. My experiences have been diverse, including teaching students to decode words and read, while using intervention strategies guided by assessments. In addition, I have taught advanced readers to achieve higher standards in comprehension and writing. My professional teaching and tutoring background has been at the elementary, middle, high school and collegiate level for reading, proofreading and public speaking. I have also assisted youth and adult learners with public speaking, speech preparation, and literacy. I am focused on delivering differentiated academic instruction while nurturing the social and emotional needs of all students.

While my primary experience has been at the academic level, I have also trained others to use technology such as MS Word and Excel.

As a lifelong learner, I truly do believe that communication, commitment and compassion is key to success.
