My name is Sue, and I am a retired teacher with over 30 years of experience helping hundreds of students obtain their high school diplomas. I have a Master's degree in Education and teaching certifications in my home state of NJ. My years of experience teaching high school equivalency classes includes programs at YouthBuild, Youth Advocate Program, Covenant House, Rutgers University, and Ocean County College, all located in NJ. I have guided students from 16 to 75, and all of them have found success with my teaching style. I am patient, funny, and have a gift for making the complex simple, especially math.

As you might imagine, many of my students have found the math portion of the exams to be the most challenging. Many students get kicked off the math bus in grade school, with fractions or later when the alphabet gets involved. Those are the students who express the most appreciation my for classes because they finally understand all levels of math after thinking for years that they were just not a "math person." I maintain that there is no such thing as not being a math person; there is only not having been taught math in a way you understand. I work tirelessly to present every concept, in every subject, in a way that each student understands. I will meet you where you are academically as I accompany you on your path.

I am an expert on the GED and other high school equivalency tests. I am not just knowledgeable about the subject areas, but I know all of the tips and tricks you will need to pass the the tests. I also teach study skills so that you are maximizing your study sessions.
